About the role

The Mechanical Maintenance Locksmith is responsible for repairing, maintaining and modifying fixed equipment to ensure operational availability. The role involves inspecting equipment performance, performing preventive maintenance, and supporting daily work plans.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret technical documentation such as mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic drawings, sketches and schematics.
• Replace equipment, conduct functional tests and adjust settings as required.
• Carry out preventive maintenance tasks and assess equipment condition.
• Diagnose and report mechanical anomalies.
• Perform maintenance welding using shielded metal arc and oxy‑acetylene processes.
• Execute oxy‑fuel cutting for maintenance or construction work.
• Operate lifting and transport equipment, including overhead cranes and forklifts.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, environmental and community standards.

Required profile

• Secondary education (12th grade) completed.
• Knowledge of welding, metalworking, mechanics and hydraulics.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Commitment to safety regulations and environmental standards.
