Remote CMS Developer (Contract/Full‑Time)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced CMS Developer to design, build, and maintain custom content management systems for a fully remote, contract‑based position. You will translate design mockups into responsive, secure web experiences while collaborating with designers and content teams.

Key responsibilities

• Create, manage, and scale custom CMS applications (WordPress, Drupal, Craft CMS, Magento).
• Develop custom themes, modules, and plugins from scratch.
• Implement responsive designs, ensure cross‑browser compatibility, and optimise performance.
• Configure custom post types, fields, and editing interfaces for non‑technical users.
• Maintain site security, backups, and regular software updates.
• Apply technical SEO best practices and integrate third‑party APIs, CRM systems, Google Tag Manager, and Google Analytics.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers, back‑end developers, and content stakeholders.
• Document code and technical decisions for future reference.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of professional software development focused on CMS platforms.
• Proven ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage time effectively.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and attention to design detail.

Required skills

• HTML5, CSS3 (Flexbox/Grid), JavaScript (ES6+).
• Server‑side languages: PHP, Python, Ruby.
• Deep experience with WordPress, Drupal, Craft CMS, Magento.
• Custom post types, custom fields, theme and plugin development.
• API integration, database management, technical SEO.
• Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics.
